Pattern Videos and Theory

Just a reminder that you can view your grade pattern in the members area of the website. This is great if you need to look at it as a reference when practicing or learning your new pattern outside of class.

You can also view and download the theory sheets relevant to your grade.

Reminder: e.g. If you are Yellow Belt, you will be studying the yellow belt theory sheet.

Uniforms During Class

I’d like to remind students that when you train in class you can only wear the following:

Full White TAGB Dobok
Full Club Dobok
Club T-Shirt ONLY with White TAGB Trousers or Black Club Suit Trousers

Anything else is unacceptable. I’d like to also remind you that you must have your belt on during training at all times.

If you have long hair it should be tied back and if you can’t remove earring’s  please cover them up.

This is all for health and safety reasons.

World Championship Success

James Reed Tae Kwon-Do Team Ready To Go

We had 7 students travel down to Birmingham in July to compete in the Tae Kwon-Do International World Championships. I’d like to mention how happy and proud I am for these students because they all taken part in one the largest tournaments you can compete at.

Not only did they all compete, but we had some fantastic results too. The club has it’s first individual world champion, so I think a big and well deserved shout out goes to MarieAnne Smith from the Rutherglen Club.

We also have Scott McBride who picked up a gold in the tag teams!

Well done to everyone listed below:

MarieAnne Smith – World Champion in Individuals
Mel Cambridge – 2nd in Individuals
Scott McBride – 3rd in Individuals and 1st in Tag Teams
Ellis McGall – 3rd in Tag Teams
Bethany McCafferty, Callum Wilson, Graeme Rennie

All of you did fantastic, let’s keep the momentum going for the Scottish and British Champs.

I also competed at the World Championships and won a world title in my individual continuous sparring category. I also captained the Scotland Team in the international team event where we picked up 3rd.

Yours in Tae Kwon-Do
