Awards that will be presented

Dunlop – Student of the Year 2016

Stewarton – Student of the Year 2016

James Reed TKD Overall competitor of the Year 2016

James Reed TKD Merit Award 2016

New Class at the Stewarton Club

Originally I had planned to start the new Monday night class for the Stewarton club on 16th January, but due to high demand and interest the first night will be on Monday 9th January. I know that offering another training session during the week will help support student’s progress and development. It’s also an opportunity to cover more aspects of the Tae Kwon-Do training syllabus.

If you are planning on training two sessions a week could I ask that you adjust any standing order payments to reflect this change. 1 session per week cost £20 p/month and 2 sessions per week cost £35 p/month.

(Family discount rates will remain the same, £2 discount for each additional family member)

Change of E-Mail

If you want to contact me through e-mail, my new address is:

Sparring Equipment

If you have sparring equipment could I ask that you always bring it to training with you. Sparring is part of your Tae Kwon-Do training and it is there to help develop your skills/ techniques and put them to use. It also helps develop your speed, timing and reaction time. Sparring is open to all ages and abilities. Blue belts and above must have sparring gear as its part of your grading.

Sunday Training (supplementary training)

Sunday classes will start back in the New Year. There is a blue belt and above class to specifically work on linework, patterns and set sparring to help prepare you for future grading’s and ultimately your black belt grading. There is also a sparring class in place if you are serious about competing or want to improve your sparring skills and become more confident. (Reminder: this class is not inclusive of your monthly fees, and will cost £5 per class or £6 for both classes)

Blue belt and above class: 10.30am to 11.30am
Sparring class (all ages, grades & abilities): 11.30am to 1pm

Dates for January: Sunday 8th, 22nd & 29th

I’d like to take this time to thank everyone for their hard work, determination, commitment to training and in many cases your help during 2016. I hope that you can continue to develop and set yourself newer and more challenging goals and I wish you every success in 2017!

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Many Thanks

James Reed, 4th Degree
